WWW Wednesday

I decided to give WWW Wednesday a try after seeing it on Taking on a World of Words and finding loads of great books to read.

The Three Ws are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

book38.jpgCurrently reading – I’ve just started Gentlemen Prefer Blondes by Anita Loos. I picked it up at a bookstore I used to volunteer at and it’s so pretty! I know they say don’t judge a book by it’s cover, but look at it! I watched the film a long time ago and enjoy reading books and comparing them to the film. So far I’m enjoying it and will hopefully finish it in the next week or so (annoyingly I’ve got way too much work to read). Review will be up soon!

I’m also thinking about starting The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton soon. I didn’t get to watch the TV series whilst it was on so want to read the book before catching up.

book37Recently finished – Eileen by Ottessa Moshfegh – and it was fab! Eileen was so interesting, I suppose a little slow to start for some as the action happens at the end of the novel, but that’s sort of the point; small town girl, bored, troubled and dreaming of escape. Read my full review here.

Moshfegh’s writing is brilliant and I’d recommend this book to everyone!

Reading next – Well apart from starting The Miniaturist at some point, I’m trying to pick between Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, Vox by Christina Dalcher (when it’s out), or Suicide Club by Rachel Heng.
